What is acupuncture?
From an outside perspective, acupuncture seems simple. It uses sterile, disposable needles to activate certain points. What’s going on underneath is much more complex. There are 3 different effects of acupuncture: LOCAL, SYSTEMIC, SPECIFIC. Acupuncture addresses all of these for whole body healing.
How is your treatment different?
If you were to compare us side by side with most Western medicine or functional medicine practitioners, you’ll notice we have a root-cause approach. We want you healed at the ROOT of the issue so you don’t have to keep using band-aid type treatments that only help symptoms.
My health is complicated — can you still help?
This is the majority of people we treat. Your case seems complicated and other doctors haven’t been able to figure it out or make lasting change. We are here to get you to REAL change and relief. We have had great success with these types of cases.
Do you take insurance?
Many insurance plans in Utah cover acupuncture. Call your insurance company to learn about the specifics of your plan. We are out-of-network with all insurance companies, and would be happy to provide you with all the documentation you need to seek reimbursement.
What does a session look like?
An acupuncture session will start with a check-in with the practitioner to see how things are going. He will check to see what areas are changing and then apply the needles to continue your healing based off of where you’re at in each session. You will comfortably relax for 20-40 minutes while the acupuncture does its work and then you’re finished.
Do you treat children?
We treat children of all ages. Chinese medicine can help with things like ADHD, viruses, detoxing, and many other symptoms. Learn more here.
Consultation
$100 Refundable Deposit / 30-45 min
In this consultation we will perform a thorough health history and physical examination, gathering the data that is most helpful for us to make a Chinese medicine diagnosis and, if we determine that we are a good fit, devise a treatment plan suited for you.
You will have the chance to ask questions. We will dive as deep as necessary into your case to best understand not only the physical symptoms, but as appropriate the mental, emotional, and spiritual components to any dis-ease you may be experiencing. Our goal is to bring you back (maybe for the first time) to your full and natural state of health, ease, peace, and lightness of being.
In this consultation we will make recommendations as applicable for any herbal, dietary, or lifestyle guidelines for your specific case. With that said, we do not judge any of our patients for the path they’re currently on, and our treatment is not contingent on you having to dramatically change your lifestyle choices — we support you regardless. The only thing you need to do for the treatment plan is to come for acupuncture, and in some cases you need to take the herbal medicine, in order for our comprehensive treatment plan to be effective. For lifestyle and dietary changes, this is a bonus for faster healing but it’s not always necessary. We try to meet you where you are — while aiding in taking you to where you want to be.
Acupuncture

This is for those who have completed a consultation. It includes a progress check-in, herbal consultation, gua sha, cupping, motor point acupuncture, dietary guidance, and lifestyle coaching as needed at the practitioner’s discretion based on your input.

Wellness Plan
If you have completed treatment plan and are wanting to maintain treatments, or are looking for overall health treatments with no major concerns, our Wellness Plans are perfect for you.
Wellness plans have a 3-month commitment to start and then may be canceled at any time.
If you are experiencing more serious conditions or discomfort, the consultation and treatment plans will support your healing the most.
Herbal Medicine
Our pricing varies depending on dosing, which is dependent on the severity and nature of the condition.
Base herbal formulas (without modifications) cost $40 plus tax for one bottle. This herbal formula is composed of a group of herbs that comprehensively address your pattern as identified by our practitioner. Commonly patients ask “what is this treating?” because they are used to taking one medication for their blood pressure, one for their anxiety, one for their sleep, etc — and our answer is “It’s treating YOU. It’s treating everything.” as simple as that sounds because our herbal formulas get to the root of all of your symptoms and treat them all at the same time. For the most part — sometimes there are several layers or rounds that we can’t treat all at the same time and it is a dynamic process but our treatments are as comprehensive as we can do at once.
