Chances of Conception & infertility

What are my percent chances of getting pregnant?

If you’re a healthy person between the ages of 20-35, you have about a 20% chance of getting pregnant in a given cycle.

This is why to be considered “infertile,” you need to be trying for over a year. This is considering that you are a healthy person, not considering other issues like PCOS, Endometriosis, menstrual or health issues that would cause conception to take even longer. This is why we ideally need to treat with Chinese medicine for at least 6 months to get pregnant.

Does Chinese medicine and acupuncture treat infertility?

Chinese medicine is one of the most effective ways to treat infertility and is usually much more affordable than western medicine infertility routes. We often see patients that have tried the western medicine route without success and have seen spectacular results as we have changed the approach to Chinese medicine.

How much do men contribute to infertility?

A lot of time, unfortunately, it is the female that bares the brunt of blame for fertility issues. This really shouldn’t be the case statistically speaking. Out of infertility cases, 1/3 is caused by the female, 1/3 is caused by the male, and 1/3 is combined or “unexplained” infertility.

Why am I infertile?

With infertility as well as most health issues, the answer is not always simple. This can be frustrating for couples to try and figure out on their own. From a Chinese medicine perspective, there is often blood flow issues and blockages, but there are many different reasons for infertility that Chinese medicine does very well at treating. We want to identify the problem so we can fix it. uterine line thin? Thicken it. Not ovulating? Create ovulation. However, there’s much more to it than that. The category of “unexplained” fertility is much more complex and is probably about 90% of the cases we see at Utah Valley Acupuncture. We have the reviews to show how effective we have treated infertility.
